End of Year and Community Trophies 2025 - Recap

Dec 11, 2025

Our End of Year Event on 11 Dec was a powerful reminder of what makes this community special. More than a celebration, the evening marked a moment to recognise impact, strengthen connections, and reflect on where construction and real estate are heading.

Our End of Year Event on 11 Dec was a powerful reminder of what makes this community special. More than a celebration, the evening marked a moment to recognise impact, strengthen connections, and reflect on where construction and real estate are heading.

Hosted at Proximus, the event welcomed founders, corporates, investors, asset managers and partners for an evening of recognition, dialogue and shared ambition. From the outset, the atmosphere reflected what the community stands for: openness, collaboration and a collective focus on long-term impact.

The evening’s programme was enriched by insights from industry leaders who brought perspective, challenge and experience to the stage.

Speakers included Martijn Reviers, Editor-in-Chief of Expertisenews.be; Daniel Lorenzo Rodríguez, International Director of Specialty Leasing & Marketing at NHOOD; and Giulio Pollina, Business Unit Manager at Remagin by Etex. Their contributions grounded the discussions in market reality while offering a clear view on where the industry is heading.

The event was made possible with the support of Proximus Group as host and Remagin by Etex as event sponsor, whose commitment continues to strengthen the community and its long-term vision.

Celebrating the Community Trophy Winners

At the heart of the evening were the Community Trophies 2025 — recognising teams who are raising the bar for the industry.

🏆 Most Innovative Project of the Year: Beja Student Residence – Grupo Casais

Key Takeaways from the Discussions

𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Martijn Reviers – Editor-in-Chief, Expertisenews.be

Martin set the scene with a clear message: 2025 was anything but comfortable for real estate. Geopolitics, delayed decisions and financial pressure slowed the market with offices taking the hardest hit. Yet even in a difficult year, signals of change were everywhere. Retail regained momentum, major portfolio deals reshaped the landscape, and consolidation is creating new European leaders. Looking ahead, ESG and renovation obligations won’t be constraints, they’ll be catalysts.

𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

Daniel Lorenzo Rodríguez – International Director Specialty Leasing & Marketing, NHOOD

Daniel challenged the traditional view of retail real estate. The future isn’t about stores alone, but about places that combine living, working and experiencing. Specialty leasing, flexible formats and short-term concepts are becoming powerful drivers of footfall and value. By rethinking how every space is used, retail assets can stay relevant economically, socially and environmentally while keeping people at the center of urban life.

𝐎𝐟𝐟-𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐈𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐈𝐭

Giulio Pollina – Business Unit Manager, Remagin by Etex

Giulio reframed the off-site conversation. Industrialised construction isn’t here to disrupt for the sake of disruption, it’s here to solve real problems around cost, speed and certainty. The real power lies in ecosystems: certified systems, collaboration and repeatable partnerships that reduce risk for everyone involved. By empowering existing players rather than replacing them, off-site becomes a tool for scaling efficiency across the sector.

Looking Ahead

Our gratitude goes to the jury for the dedication and expertise they brought to reviewing such a high-quality group of nominations.
And to all nominees: recognition is only one part of the story. Your work is moving the industry forward, and the community is stronger because of it.

The End of Year Event highlighted the strength of the community not only in the projects delivered, but in the willingness to share insights, challenge assumptions and build together. While the trophies marked important achievements, the discussions made clear that transformation is ongoing.

The conversations started that evening will continue into 2026, shaping future initiatives, collaborations and events.
