Overview

The Brussels Design & Build Meet brings together contractors, sub-contractors, developers, engineers, architects, and ConTech startups to explore how modular construction, robotics, and industrialised building methods are reshaping the design and delivery of the built environment.

With rising construction costs, labour shortages, pressure on project timelines, and growing sustainability requirements, the focus is on practical solutions that improve speed, quality, safety, productivity, and project certainty across the construction lifecycle.

What to expect

The session opens with a Reverse Pitch from leading contractors, developers, or project delivery teams, sharing real challenges they face in design and construction. Topics may include project delays, cost overruns, labour constraints, material waste, coordination issues, off-site delivery, quality control, and decarbonising construction processes.

Startups then present practical use cases from the Design & Build category, including solutions related to modular construction, prefabrication, robotics, automation, digital fabrication, industrialised workflows, construction design optimisation, site productivity, and supply chain efficiency.

The session concludes with focused networking, enabling corporates and startups to explore pilots, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities.
